PPC is built on the value-based framework of community organizing, which was developed by Professor Marshall Ganz from Harvard Kennedy School and also replicated in President Obama’s winning election campaigns. Community organizing has proven successful in both political and social change, and through this Program, you learn to develop effective project design, strategy and narrative skills to help achieve size and scale needed to win a campaign. It is a transformative journey with experienced grassroots coaches from India and International mentors, learning new skills and concepts that escalate your leadership as a changemaker.
“We are a generation of young people who want to be actively involved in social issues, and lead the change we want to see. However, there’s a lack of avenues, as not many programs exist in India that give direction on how to develop leadership skills and drive social change. The ones that do exist are either inaccessible or westernized. With ‘People, Power & Change’, we have made a program tailored for the Indian context and accessible to diverse communities, so they can harness people power and initiate social action.”

““I believe that the program is a great learning platform for people because it taps into their intrinsic capacity of leading change and helps them propel that capacity and lead movements for social change in their neighbourhood and communities.””
– Richa Hingorani, Media, Communications & Partnerships Lead at Girl Rising India.
“The framework essentially provides a way to use our own resources to make the change we want. It is important in today’s world where a lot of us have a lot of dissatisfaction and frustration the way society is functioning and the way services are being provided. This program at large provides the opportunity how we ourselves can organize the community that we stay in and address those problems. I think it is a better way to deal with the problem at hand”.

“PPC helped us recognize our idea and guided us to turn it into a project. Each module was designed in a way that after every session, we saw our projects evolving and become more refined. Our coaches also mentored us to fill the gap and set an achievable goal.”
Arunika Wilson,
PPC Changemaker, Bhopal.
“Through this program I learnt the art of doing one on one meetings with my community members. This helped in asking for people’s solution to their problems. We have come up with so many solutions and now have formed a team with the community to work on these alternative methods. The team is now helping other members to join our snowflake model of leadership and expand to district.”
